Creative Arts Curriculum

KinderQ™ appreciates and nurtures the uniqueness of every child, and provides them with plentiful opportunities to express themselves in imaginative and creative ways.

Art

KinderQ™ provides children with daily opportunities to create their own “artistic masterpieces” in a fully-stocked Arts & Crafts Centre that contains a wide variety of open-ended materials and mediums for children to explore and experiment with. Children also take part in special craft projects that develop their fine motor skills and artistic abilities.

Music and Movement

Children participate in a variety of music and movement activities each day such as singing, dancing, rhythm patterning, and playing simple musical instruments. They also learn a large variety of songs, rhymes, and finger-plays that reinforce important academic and EQ skills.

Drama and Imaginative Play

Children engage in numerous role-playing and drama activities that help to increase their confidence, communication, co-operation, and creative thinking skills. They are also provided with daily blocks of unstructured time in which to engage in various forms of imaginative play. During this time, they have access to a variety of Dramatic Activity Centres that rotate on a regular basis, e.g., Dress-Up Centre, Puppet Theatre, House Centre, Restaurant, Post Office, Doctor’s Office, Store, etc.
